GOOSE BUMPS : Tallinn players celebrated by SGE fans
After the 2-1 defeat and the elimination in the 2nd qualifying round, the Estonians were celebrated like winners by the Frankfurt fans and given a standing ovation. Captain Gert Kams threw his captain’s armband into the Eintracht block in thanks for the goosebumps moment, and defender Henri Järvelaid even bequeathed his jersey to a supporter of the Bundesliga club.

On the occasion of Estonia’s EU Presidency, a European Salon was held by the Hessian State Chancellery in cooperation with the Honorary Consulate of Estonia in Hesse on November 10, 2017. The evening with essayistic and musical contributions by Estonian artists was the largest cultural event in Germany on the occasion of Estonia’s presidency.

The NORTEC Forum is an initiative of the Honorary Consular Mission of the Republic of Estonia in Hesse, in cooperation with the digital agency Cocomore. We start with an exclusive lecture evening by the Mayor of the City of Tartu Urmas Klaas.

In the bookstore WEITENLESER, Frankfurt on 30.03.2017 the Estonian writer PEETER HELME will talk about his novel “Am Ende der verlorenen Zeit” (published by Karl Rauch Verlag, 2016) and give an insight into the current Estonian literary scene.

In 2017 we have planned, among other things, a trip to Estonia. The Estonian office Estravel has put together a nice and varied program for the Whitsun weekend June 2-5, 2017, when the climate is bright and friendly and the cultural offer is diverse.
OPENING OF THE HONORARY CONSULAR MISSION ON NOVEMBER 3, 2016
On November 3, 2016, the first honorary consular mission of the Republic of Estonia in Hesse was ceremoniously opened. Numerous guests appeared in the Villa Bonn to get information about Estonia and to establish a variety of contacts.
